How To Pick A Good Diffuser
Essential oil diffusers have become a sanitizing, mood-conjuring mainstay for many health-conscious modern mamas.
I’ve got 1 in each of my girl’s rooms and another in mine.
If you look on Amazon you’ll find a variety of diffusers with differing price ranges.
My favorite (see it here) cost under $20 and it makes a great gift.
Here’s what to look for in a diffuser:
- Cool Mist – this type of humidifier won’t cause mold growth. If you use oils like cinnamon, clove, peppermint, and tea tree oil you will actually deter mold.
- Auto Shut-Off – this is important because if you use it at night you will fall asleep. You want your diffuser to shut off when it runs out of water or after a certain time that passes.
- Whisper-Quiet Function – a nearly soundless operation means that you won’t be disturbed while sleeping. An occasional trickle of water, which is barely audible and just lets you know that the unit is functioning properly.
- Optional Light – depending on the type of diffuser you purchase, you may have a “light on/off” switch or you may be able to choose the shade of color that is displayed when the LED light is on. Either way, this gives you an option on how much light is in the room if you use it at night.
