I’ve been reading Jessica Alba’s “The Honest Life” book today. Did you know she had a book about living less toxic? I didn’t even realize she had a book much less a company selling less toxic products until recently when I purchased the Honest Sunscreen at Costco and was telling a friend about it. My friend said “oh yea, that’s Jessica Alba’s company”.
Like many of us, Jessica began her quest to find less toxic products when she had children. She was tired of being told that “healthy, safe and eco means boring, beige and blah… and expensive”. She knew there had to be a better way and figuring that out became her mission.
Whether you’re invested in doing a whole lifestyle change or just looking for some clean products and tips on how to cut chemical and toxin exposure from your life this book is definitely worth reading. Jessica shares her personal tips, tricks, and plus lists a ton of resources. She doesn’t make things scary and she’s honest about her life, too.
We used the Honest Sunscreen while at the beach in Florida and it worked great. It is thicker than other sunscreens so I didn’t use it on my face so as not to look like a ghost. I noticed it’s out of stock on the site but you can get it on Amazon if you don’t have a Costco nearby.
