No Bake Protein Snack Balls

Protein balls are all the rage right now.

Why?

Because they are so easy to make, fill you up, and tasty treat if you make the right ones.

I don’t have a food processor so I mix mine by hand (it’s an extra workout, right!) but use a food processor if you have one.

Add a scoop of collagen to your protein balls. It easily mixes with just about everything and won’t change the flavor.

Collagen is known for its anti-aging benefits and helps promote thicker hair, stronger nails plus helps reduce wrinkles and cellulite.

It’s excellent for your joints, too.

Just read the comments on Amazon about its benefits.

Basic Protein Ball Recipe

There are many different varieties of protein ball recipes but this is a basic one that you can make with just about any brand of protein.

My protein brand of choice is Isagenix (find more recipes using it here).

The photo below is my actual protein balls from the last time I made them.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup  old fashion oats
1/4 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter
1/4 cup ground flax
1 TB Whey Protein ( chocolate or vanilla)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 TB  water
75% chocolate shavings

Directions:

Combine first 5 ingredients in a food processor (or by hand but for sure not in a blender) process until fine crumbles form.

Add the water and process again.

Stir in chocolate.

Form into mini balls store in an airtight container.
