It’s finally picking up traction in mainstream and more people are learning about the benefits of mini-fasting and intermittent fasting.

People are finally learning that allowing yourself to take a break from food can actually be a good thing for your body.

You don’t have to eat breakfast every morning nor will skipping meals slow your metabolism.

Mounting scientific evidence for intermittent fasting as an effective tool for weight loss and maintenance may be the solution for preventing repeated cycles of dieting.

Do A Little Research On Intermittent Fasting For Yourself

I first learned about Intermittent Fasting from  Dr. Mercola. There many different methods so it’s worth reading about.

These are just a few books on the subject. I’ve written a blog post packed with information. You can read it here.

What I Use To Get Better Results From Intermittent Fasting

I started dabbling with intermittent fasting several years ago.

It was never very hard for me because having an eating window gave me the freedom to eat some of my favorite foods without worrying about calories. (Read more about eating windows here.)

I was first drawn to it because of the anti-aging benefits and because the closer I got to 50 I wanted to do whatever I could to keep the weight off.

You know, that weight that creeps up on you as you age?

I’ve always used protein supplements and had been using the Isagenix IsaPro protein supplement before I even realized Isagenix had a system that worked right along with what I was learning about fasting.

After I discovered their cleansing line I switched over to using the Isagenix Isalean Shakes and then a few weeks later added the Cleanse For Life .

Cleanse For Life helped me cleanse out the toxins that were causing me to hold on to weight.

I won’t say this is a magical solution but intermittent fasting plus Isagenix help me consistently weigh less than I did 20 years ago with very little effort.

Not everyone’s method for intermittent fasting is the same and you may find some differences in exactly how to do it.

Isagenix Superfood Nutritional Cleansing System is a simple method especially for beginners plus all the added benefits of the nutritional support and cleansing.

Once you get the hang of fasting you won’t need to use the whole system every month.

Start out with the full pack to cleanse and nourish your body then select the products you like the best.

I recommend the Shake and Cleanse Pak (see it here)  to maintain your weight loss and continue getting benefits from the nutrients in the shakes and cleanse.

Isagenix often has specials but you need to know an affiliate to get the information. Sign up for my list (here) to be notified when they have a special.

Bottom Line About Intermittent Fasting

Limiting yourself to eating food during a window of time during the day is actually very healthy for you.

There are so many benefits of Intermittent Fasting so it’s worth considering especially if you need to lose weight.

So when do you use the Isagenix cleanse? Do you use the cleanse everyday along with your Intermittent fast or do you still participate in the full day cleanse as well?

Theresa, that’s a great question. Reading back over the post I can see how I could have been more clear. I will update this post soon to reflect the changes that come to mind as I read it. I wrote it 2 years ago and since I have a lot of content on my site sometimes posts don’t get updated as they should. Of course, my old posts are not as well written as my new ones. 🙁

I still intermittent fast every day. Most days of the week I have my first meal between 12-1 and stop eating about 6. During my eating window, I have a shake, nuts, protein bar or some healthy snack, and then dinner. Dinner is usually a protein, vegetables, and healthy fat. I take an ounce or 2 of Cleanse for Life a few times a week at night before bed.

When I eat too many sweets or after vacation, I’ll do full cleanse days to get back on track.

Of course, a person can intermittent fast without Isagenix but the shakes give me something nutritious to eat when I break my fast and they save me time. The Cleanse For Life takes care of the cellular cleansing. I use the Ionix, greens (in my shake) and vitamins daily for all the minerals, vitamins, herbs I would be taking anyway.
