I use a variety of essential oils each week. Sometimes, I diffuse an oil to get rid of odors or other days I grab Lavender for a burn.
Recently, I slathered on Lavender and Peppermint when I had a headache but it didn’t quite work.
So I went searching for other oils to add to it. I ended up adding Frankincense because it’s what I had on hand.
Basil is another oil to add to the blend.
So here are a few blends for you to try the next time you have a headache.
Essential Oil Brands I Use
I’ve used many different brands of oils over the last several years. It’s hard to say which are my favorite.
The last oils I ordered were Isagenix Essential Oils. Their 10 essential oils cover all the basics and those oils are a great place to start if you are just getting started with oils.
Their peppermint smells and tastes the best of all the brands I’ve tried.
If you are looking for oils beyond the basics check out Simply Earth (read my review here) or Plant Therapy (get them here).
This Is My Current Diffuser
My favorite diffuser is this one I got on Amazon almost 3 years ago. I use it almost daily and it still works great.
I purchased this one last year because it was on sale.
If you see it less than $20. Grab it. It’s a great one for your kids’ room. My girls love theirs.

Should You Use A Carrier Oil?
I usually don’t use a carrier oil on myself but I use one when I use essential oils on the girls.
So far the best combination for my daughter who gets migraines is Coconut oil, 5 drops of Lavender and 5 drops Peppermint in a roller bottle and rolled on her temples.
Be sure to test all oils before you decide to use them straight on your skin. Some oils can burn sensitive skin.
If you are sensitive to an oil wash it off with coconut oil or olive oil. Do not attempt to wash off an oil with water.
