It’s important to note that scents can be subjective and what one person finds masculine, another person might not. These oils are popularly used in masculine fragrances and personal care products.
Some of the best essential oils for men are also some of the more popular oils that almost everyone enjoys like lime, frankincense, eucalyptus, lavender, and peppermint.
Also, when using essential oils, it’s important to use them in low dilution at first until you experiment a little.

Beard Oil Recipe
This recipe is a great blend for beard oil, the lavender oil will give a relaxing and calming sensation, the peppermint oil will give a refreshing and invigorating sensation and lemon will give a refreshing and uplifting sensation.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. of coconut oil
- 5 drops of lavender essential oil
- 5 drops of peppermint essential oil
- 5 drops of lemon essential oil
Instructions:
- Start by measuring out 1 oz. of coconut oil in a glass dropper bottle or a small glass container.
- Add 5 drops of lavender essential oil, 5 drops of peppermint essential oil, and 5 drops of lemon essential oil to the coconut oil.
- Close the dropper bottle or container and shake well to combine the oils.
- To use, apply a small amount of the oil to your beard and massage it in well.
- Use your fingers to comb through your beard and style it as desired.
Roller Bottle Cologne Recipe
This recipe is a great blend for a cologne, the bergamot oil will give a fresh and citrusy scent, the white fir oil will give a woodsy and fresh scent and the clove oil will give a warm, spicy, and woodsy scent. Lemon oil will give a refreshing and uplifting scent.
Ingredients:
- 10 ml roller bottle (buy it here)
- 20 drops of bergamot essential oil
- 15 drops of white fir essential oil
- 10 drops of clove essential oil
- 5 drops of lemon essential oil
- carrier oil (such as jojoba or fractionated coconut oil)
Instructions:
- Start by adding the essential oils to a 10mL roller bottle.
- Fill the roller bottle with carrier oil, leaving a bit of space at the top for the roller ball.
- Secure the roller ball and cap and shake the bottle well to combine the oils.
- To use, roll the cologne onto pulse points such as wrists, neck, and behind ears.
Earthy Clean Aftershave Recipe

- Mix all the ingredients together well. Place in a spray pump bottle.
- Spritz the face after each shave and rub in lightly with your fingers or palms.
- Avoid the eye area when spraying.
Oily Hair Shampoo Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce distilled water
- 1 ounce apple cider vinegar
- 5 drops tea tree oil
- 5 to 10 drops lemon or orange oil
- 6 ounces liquid pure Castile Soap
Instructions:
- In a measuring cup, stir all of the ingredients together except the soap until well combined.
- Add the soap and stir gently so it does not suds up.

- 1/2 cup liquid castile soap

- In a measuring cup, stir all of the ingredients and oils of your choice together except the soap until well combined.
- Add the soap and stir gently so it does not foam up.
- Pour into a squeeze bottle.
- Shake well before each use.
Coffee Body Scrub Recipe
This is a great way to exfoliate your body but don’t use this on your face as it might be irritating.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup coffee grounds
- 6 tablespoons coconut oil, scented or unscented
- 3 tablespoons white or brown sugar
- 10 to 15 drops orange essential oil
- 8-ounce glass jar with a lid
Instructions:
- Combine all of the ingredients in a measuring cup.
- Mix well to combine.
- Scrub in circles to clean and stimulate circulation.
- After using, rinse well and gently pat dry with a clean towel.
- Use no more than twice a week.
Stress Relief Hand Soap Recipe
You can get the benefits of aromatherapy even in your hand soap.
This recipe allows for you to add your favorite stress-relieving oil such as lavender, vetiver, or frankincense.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup warm distilled water
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2 teaspoons Kosher salt
- 10 to 15 drops of essential oil of your choice.
- 1/4 cup liquid Castile soap
Instructions:
- In a measuring cup, stir all of the ingredients and oils of your choice together except the soap until well combined.
- Add the soap and stir gently so it does not foam up.
- Pour into an 8-ounce bottle with a pump top.
Sandalwood Bar Soap Recipe (without Lye)
This method is known as “melt and pour method”, it is easy and safe to use, and it eliminates the need to handle lye.
Sandalwood essential oil has a warm, woodsy, and musky scent that can be very relaxing and grounding.
You can use other essential oils to suit your desired scent.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of melt and pour soap base (like this one)
- 1 tablespoon of sandalwood essential oil
- Molds of your choice (like these)
Instructions:
- Start by cutting the melt and pour soap base into small cubes and place them in a microwave-safe container.
- Melt the soap base in the microwave, heating it in 30-second intervals, and stirring it in between, until it’s fully melted.
- Once the soap base is fully melted, add 1 tablespoon of sandalwood essential oil and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the molds and let them cool for at least 30 minutes.
- Once the soap is fully cooled, remove it from the molds, and it’s ready to use.
